Johnson County launches its own World Cup platform

Johnson County leaders have launched Johnson County Connect, a platform to unify the county's suburbs for the World Cup. The initiative includes a free airport shuttle service connecting visitors from KCI to Lenexa City Center and Overland Park Convention Center, three circular routes connecting from Oak Park Mall to the surrounding county, and a website displaying regional events during the tournament. Funding is coming from several cities and Johnson County, plus existing state and federal grants. The price of the regional bus routes is yet to be decided.
