State Police Sgt. Quigley charged with felony motor vehicle homicide in alleged fatal cruiser crash

A Massachusetts State Police sergeant, Sgt. Scott Quigley, has been indicted on a felony motor vehicle homicide charge related to an alleged drunken cruiser crash in December 2023 in Woburn. The indictment was made by a statewide grand jury and alleges that Quigly was driving negligently and under the influence of alcohol when his unmarked State Police vehicle crossed the centerline and crashed into an oncoming van. The incident occurred when the driver of the vehicle had a blood alcohol level of.11, the legal limit is.08.
