Woodland Hills woman arrested at LAX for alleged weapons trafficking for Iran, prosecutors say

A woman, Shamim Mafi, has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly trafficking arms for the Iranian government. She is accused of selling drones, bombs, bomb fuses, and millions of rounds of ammunition to Sudan. If convicted, Mafi faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison. She became a lawful permanent resident of the United States in 2016.
