Elon Musk is suing OpenAI (OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman) for defrauding him into donating money to help found the AI company. The lawsuit accuses OpenAI of violating its founding mission as a nonprofit organization to become a for-profit company. Musk also named Microsoft as a co-defendant in the case, accusing the company of aiding and aiding OpenAI’s breach of charitable trust. The trial, which took place over three days, saw Musk clash with OpenAI's attorney, accusing him of trying to “trick me” and the judge admonished both parties. OpenAI and Microsoft have argued that Musk was supportive of creating a non-profit arm of the company and is only bringing the suit to bring down a competitor.
