The nomination of Kevin Warsh, the president's pick to succeed Powell on May 15, has also been uncertain due to ongoing investigations by the DOJ and the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, criticized the court's decision, accusing it of immunizing Powell and the building contractor.
