Thousands without power in Northeast Ohio as storms move through region

Thousands of FirstEnergy customers in Northeast Ohio are without power due to severe thunderstorms, including nearly 31,000 in Cuyahoga County. Over 13,000 outages were reported in Cleveland as of 10 p.m. More than 4,400 outages reported in Geauga County, over 6,700 in Lake County, and nearly 12,000 across Lorain. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for northeast Cuyhoga County, west central Geaug County and southwestern Lake County. The storms reportedly caused significant rainfall and caused damage to small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
