Storms swept through the Chicago area on Tuesday, causing significant travel delays and causing high winds and hail, impacting air travel. At least 294 flights have been canceled at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Southern parts of the city and northwest Indiana were at a Level 2 risk for severe weather, while areas west and north were at Level 1. The main threat of severe weather was around 2 p.m., with more storms expected to develop before 2p.m. Wednesday will be a colder day with some rain south of city mainly in the morning, and more severe weather is expected by late Thursday.
