Police arrested 51-year-old Brian Currier after he allegedly waved a gun at a pedestrian and then barricaded himself inside his apartment in the Nob Hill neighborhood. Currier sent bizarre emails to The San Francisco Standard, warning that anyone who stepped outside their home would be "put into eternal torture". After the arrest, Animal Care and Control reportedly took down the duck.
