Commercial drivers rally at Governor’s Mansion over license cancellations

The Texas Department of Public Safety has moved to suspend commercial driver licenses for non-citizens, including recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, regardless of their immigration status. The action follows an emergency rule issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The demonstration was held outside the Governor’s Mansion in response to the decision to cancel the licenses.
