On April 16, 2026, Michigan is experiencing multiple tornado warnings this early in the season, with two EF-1 tornadoes reported in Southeast Michigan. The state of emergency has been declared in 32 Michigan counties due to severe weather conditions. The weather is attributed to warm, moist air near the ground, colder air above, a front to lift the air, and strong changing winds with height. March 2026 also provided fuel for storms due to the warmest March on record, with Michigan having nearly twice its normal March precipitation. A jury found Live Nation and its Ticketmaster subsidiary had a monopoly over big venues.
