Squishy sensory toys like NeeDoh have become a must-have craze among students and parents in Fargo-Moorhead, sending them on 'hunting' to major stores like Scheels, Target and Walmart. The toys, known for their soft, squeezable textures and variety of shapes, often disappear from store shelves within minutes. Vintage Point, a locally owned gift shop, saw a surge in demand when a shipment of the squishy toys arrived, selling in almost 20 minutes. The most popular style for kids at Fargo North High School is the Nice Ice Baby Teenie, 2.25 inches the original Nice Cube and the 3.25 inch Nice Berg Super. Despite some drawbacks, many are not durable and can pop or break easily, making cleaning difficult. The trend of squishies being covered in ASMR-cracking videos has led to lawsuits involving children with severe burns, which have not been confirmed as a result.
