Former Massachusetts doctor, Dr. Derrick Todd, has been indicted on 81 additional sexual assault charges related to alleged patient abuse over several years. Todd, who previously worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Faulkner Hospital in Boston, pleaded not guilty to the charges in Suffolk Superior Court. The charges accuse him of performing unnecessary and invasive breast and pelvic exams on patients from 2017 to 2023. A quarter of the charges are rape charges. Todd has been released on personal recognizance with GPS monitoring and a curfew of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., and must avoid being near his alleged victims. The case is also being investigated in Middlesex County, where he is accused of sexually assaulting 11 women while working as a rheumatologist.
