Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's friend, Guy Clark, revealed that late fashion publicist Carolyn bought matching "toe rings" for herself and cousin-in-law Carole Radziwill in the late '90s, nearly a year before her death in 1999. Clark, a close friend of Carolyn's and a former jeweler at Cartier's Fifth Avenue Mansion, revealed the gift on Instagram. The pair were purchased in 1998 and each gold band, which each cost $175 each, was marked with the date of sale, August 3, 1998. Despite her connections to the Kennedy family, Radziw was not shown in the Love Story series inspired by her relationship with Carolyn and her husband, John F. Kennedy Jr. Despite this, the show's executive producer, Brad Simpson, said it was a creative decision to focus more on Carolyn's relationship with her sister, Lauren Bespoke.
