President Donald Trump described First Lady Melania Trump as having a "traumatic experience" following the shooting outside the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The incident occurred shortly after the couple's grand entrance at the Washington Hilton Hotel when an alleged gunman fired several shots. The gunman, identified as 31-year-old teacher from California, was found with a handgun, handgun, and multiple knives. One Secret Service agent was shot but survived thanks to his bulletproof vest. The suspect is believed to have acted alone and has not been identified as a motive.
