Storms in Nelson County, Kentucky, caused significant damage and power outages late Sunday night, leaving thousands without power. The storms also left thousands of homes without electricity. The Salt River Electric customers were left in the dark due to the storm, which caused significant power losses and sparked transformer fires. Around 7000 Salt River customers were affected by the storm. However, by Monday, at least 90% of households had their lights back on. The National Weather Service is working to identify the cause of the storms' damage. The county is also working to improve its tornado.
