EU lawmakers are set to vote on legislation to implement parts of the EU‑U.S. trade deal, following twice suspending work due to concerns about the United States' commitment to its side of the agreement. The proposals include removing EU import duties on U.S.-specific industrial goods and increasing access for US agricultural produce. However, many lawmakers have argued that the current trade deal is lopsided, with the EU required to cut most import duties while the U.,S. maintains a rate of 15%.
