Lindsey Vonn still in 'survival mode' after Olympic crash and unsure whether to retire

Lindsey Vonn, the 2010 Olympic downhill champion, is unsure whether she will retire following a recent Olympic crash in which she hit a gate and crashed 13 seconds into her downhill run. She was airlifted off the piste and diagnosed with a complex tibia fracture in her left leg. Vonn was racing at the Olympics nine days after rupturing ligaments, and has one more surgery to remove metal from her skin and replace her anterior cruciate ligament. She also has a lengthy period of recuperation after her ACL surgery, which she anticipates for another six months.
