The pilot of Flight 1980 from San Francisco International Airport reported a possible drone strike over San Diego International Airport, California, after the aircraft landed safely. The sighting occurred at 4,000 feet, significantly higher than the legal maximum altitude for drones. No damage was found to the Boeing 737. The FAA alerted other pilots in the area but no additional reports were received.
