Cleanup efforts under way after tornado damages homes, barns in Meade County

A tornado that swept through Meade County, Kentucky, damaged homes, barns and scattered debris across fields. The tornado was an EF One, reaching wind speeds of 110mph and destroying several buildings. The focus has now shifted from recovery to assisting neighbors in cleaning up the pieces. Roger Rose, chief of the Flaherty Fire Department, found three homes with trees on top of them, including one on Rolling Hills Road that suffered major damage. Emergency management is also working on getting dumpsters placed around the area. The judge declared an emergency after an emergency was declared.
