Gold giant hands out $10 on St. Patrick’s Day

Tether, the gold giant and the world's largest stablecoin, is offering $10 to anyone passing through Times Square on March 17. The giveaway is part of a broader digital activation designed to onboard users into the stablecoin ecosystem. Participants must scan a QR code distributed by street teams across Times Square and along the parade route to claim $10 in USAT, a dollar-backed stablecoin designed by Tether to function as a digital version of the U.S. dollar on blockchain networks. The campaign will run from 10:00 am to 11:59 pm Eastern Time and includes the distribution of 25,000 promotional postcards.
