The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cleveland Guardians have had to postpone their second game of a weekend doubleheader due to rain. The teams were originally set to play on Friday due to poor air quality in Cleveland due to the city being covered in a fog of smoke due to wild fires in Canada. The Friday game was postponed due to severe air quality and rescheduled into a doubleheader on Saturday. The second game, originally scheduled for 7:10 P.M. Eastern Time, has now been pushed back to 7:30 P.m. Eastern time. The Pirates are using a bullpen approach in their second match, moving Braxton Ashcraft to Monday and starting Mason Montgomery, who holds a 4.14 ERA with four starts and 38 appearances this season.
