St. Louis neo-soul fans had a nostalgic night at Stifel Theatre as Floetry reunited for their first time since their 2007 split. The British duo, Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart, who were once part of the influential Philadelphia neo soul wave, performed their first stage performance together since their split in 2007. The energy was different as they shared their songs with ease and camaraderie. Their influence on R&B and progressive hip-hop extended beyond their two-album catalog, with their influence seen in artists such as Doechii, Rapsody and SZA. The band's contributions to R. Kelly, Marvin Gaye, and Alicia Keys were also noted. The performance was followed by a dance-party hosted by comedian Clint Coley.
