The Houston Texans have released veteran defensive tackle Kurt Hinish one year after signing him on a one-year contract with a maximum value of $2.35 million. Hinish, a former undrafted free agent from Notre Dame, played in 10 games two seasons ago and had 12 tackles, two for losses. He was one of three rookies to make the opening-game roster.
