Bruce Weber, a former coach for Southern Illinois and Illinois, is gaining popularity as a Big Ten Network analyst. He is currently working as a studio analyst for the network's coverage of the conference's men’s basketball tournament at the United Center. Weber, who lives in Florida, fondly returns to Chicago with memories of his best moments as a coach. His ties to Chicago predate his coaching days, and he recalls meeting with legendary Bulls assistant coach Tex Winter as an assistant on Purdue's staff. Weber is currently finishing his fourth season with BTN and has had offers to coach almost every year since his retirement from Kansas State in 2022.
