James K. Matkaitis, a former CBOE Trader, passed away at the age of 72 while undergoing treatment for cancer. Born and raised in Chicago, he was born on June 5, 1953 and attended grade school at St. Christina in Mt. Greenwood. He graduated from Brother Rice High School and Northern Illinois University with a National Merit semi-finalist and Illinois State Scholar. Later in his life, he created a small internet business with customer service reviews. He is survived by his sisters, Nancy (Jim) Sorensen and Kathy (Kurt) Uhlir, and loved by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
