The Audrey Ficus (Ficus benghalensis) is becoming a more popular alternative to the fiddle leaf fig (Fiddle leaf Fig), a plant that is more forgiving and adaptable than the Fiddle Leaf Fig. The leaves are different from the ones produced by the Fiddle Fig, which are large (up to 18 inches long) and glossy, with a neat violin shape, and smaller (4 to 10 inches) oval, with velvet texture, matte look, and white veins. The Audrey's trunk is light-colored and smooth-feeling compared to the Fiddled Leaf's, which has a brown trunk that's woody yet delicate. Despite the differences in leaves, Audrey Fices is more adaptable and more tolerant of lower-light placement. It also handles typical home humidity levels and requires a quick wipe down about once a month to keep breathing easily.
