Despite recent criticism of FIFA's decision to award Trump its inaugural Peace Prize, Popovic is not concerned about the political climate in the U.S. He emphasised the importance of the team's preparation for the upcoming World Cup and suggested that players such as Britain-based centre-back Souttar and 35-year-old Melbourne City winger Leckie could be included if they prove their fitness in Florida.
