Wizz Air, a Polish airline, expects a significant revenue boost for summer, despite the Iran war. The airline expects to break even or achieve slightly positive full-year earnings for its 2026 financial year ending March 31. Despite rising jet fuel prices and concerns about fewer people flying, Varadi remains optimistic about the future of the air travel market. He highlighted that 44% of summer capacity has been booked, two percentage points ahead of the previous year. The stronger projection for the 2026 year was partly due to cost cuts made by the airline as it postponed or cancelled new IT innovation programs.
