ITV Remains in “Active” Deal Talks With Sky as It Posts Ad Drop, 4 Percent Studios Revenue Gain

UK TV company ITV is in discussions with Sky regarding a potential sale of its M&E business. Total ITV Studios revenue rose 4 percent in the first quarter, while media & entertainment (M&E) revenue fell 2 percent. Total advertising revenue (TAR) decreased 1.5 percent. The gain was driven by external revenue growth of 8 percent, primarily by the phasing of deliveries to global streaming platforms. ITV also expects TAR to rise around 10 percent in Q2 and a strong July due to significant demand from advertisers around the men's football World Cup.
