Former Jets player Mark Gastineau's $25 million lawsuit against ESPN has been dismissed with prejudice. The case stemmed from a dispute over a viral clip in a “30 For 30” episode of Gastinee confronting Brett Favre, who he claimed did a favor by allowing him to break his then-single-season sack record. A judge ruled that Gastineea consented to the use of his name and likeness in the film and related promotional materials. Gastineee had accused ESPN of publishing the footage without his consent or permission and had been targeted on social media with ridicule.
