Santa Cruz residents are being asked to make Mother’s Day, Spring, and Thinking of You cards for seniors in assisted and skilled nursing facilities for delivery through I-You Venture and Family Service Agency. The project aims to remind seniors that they are not forgotten and provide a simple way to connect with them. The call for volunteers is open to groups, schools, and individuals. In addition to the cards, there are suggestions for items that may help with stress and loneliness. The deadline for delivery is March 28.
