DeMeco Ryans, the Houston Texans quarterback and former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, believes that C.J. Stroud has learned from his difficult playoff performance after a tough year. Since then, the Texans and Stroud have taken several steps to improve their performance, including improving the offensive line and acquiring running back David Montgomery. The team also parted ways with quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson after Ryans felt it was time for a new voice in the quarterback room. Ryans also shifted Jerry Schuplinski from senior offensive assistant to quarterbacks coach. The Texans are currently 0-7 in the AFC divisional round, including going winless at the stage of the playoffs three years under Ryans' leadership.
