After 2 fires, Doyon says 95% of collapsed North Slope rig has been removed

After two fires, Doyon Drilling Inc. has removed about 95% of the collapsed drilling rig from the tundra and is working on removing the structure and preparing debris for removal and recycling. The company has also recovered about 2,000 gallons of spilled material from the damaged structure. No immediate risk is currently posed to nearby communities, infrastructure, air quality, drinking water, and and wildlife.
