Circuit court hands Review-Journal another victory in dispute over printing of Sun

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has won a court case against the Las Vegas Sun, seeking to revert to the terms of a 1989 joint-operating agreement when the Sun was an afternoon newspaper. This comes despite a previous 9th Circuit ruling stating that the 2005 joint-operation agreement between the two newspapers was "unlawful and unenforceable". The judges have now ordered a restraining order by U.S. District Judge Anne Traum to stop the continued printing of the Sun, despite this. The Sun's lawyers have requested that Traum vacate the order, arguing that the 1989 agreement's terms would be impractical.
