Arrest made in Washington County hit-and-run that killed dog

A 54-year-old man from West Bend has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred on April 20, 2026, on Hillcrest Drive. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the same day as the suspect vehicle turned onto Hillcreet Drive from Nabob Drive and was traveling eastbound when it struck both a pedestrian and a dog. The driver did not stop after the crash and continued eastbound, leaving the scene. The suspect is being held at the Washington County Jail on charges related to hit-And-run causing injury. The case will be reviewed by The Washington County District Attorney's Office for review.
