An Elkhart County judge has overturned the conviction of Iris Seabolt, who had been linked to a decades-old murder and robbery case, reopening a legal matter that has been ongoing for over 25 years. Seabol's legal team is working with the Notre Dame Law School Exoneration Justice Clinic to substantiate claims of wrongful conviction. The state retains the option to appeal the decision, which is among the highest in the state for such cases.
