The men's NCAA Tournament, which began this week, has left a number of Massachusetts-based athletes to watch. Most of these players play for mid-major schools looking to make big strides in the tournament. Players who call Massachusetts home and play for one of the 68 teams that made it into the tournament include Dybansta, a 6-foot-9 forward considered the potential No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft. Sanon is a critical rotation piece for No. 5 St. John’s, where he averages 20.9 minutes off the bench, contributing 7.7 points per game as the team has won 19 of their last 20 games. Nkrumah, a senior forward from Worcester State, leads the charge for the Tigers as their leading scorer with 17.6 points. Penn's Jones is a junior who has made a significant contribution this season.
