Suspect arrested after eluding state patrol on wrong side of busy highway in Montezuma County

A suspect was arrested after a trooper stopped his vehicle from driving the wrong side of a busy highway in Montezuma County, Colorado. The trooper was conducting a traffic stop when he saw a gray Jeep Gladiator driving on the shoulder and the wrong way into oncoming traffic. He followed the vehicle with emergency lights and sirens on and followed it as it approached an active work zone. The driver failed to slow down or stop and was eventually brought to a stop by the trooper. An 81-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving, and vehicular eluding.
