Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford is considered a sleeper MVP pick for the American League (AL) 2026. Langford, who landed at No. 4 on the ESPN's top 100 prospects list two years ago, was touted as an American League Rookie of the Year candidate. However, he failed to make the All-Star team despite ranking 18th in the league in bWAR at the break. His bWAR jumped to 5.6 in 2025, making him 12th best in the AL. Despite this, Langford has been overlooked for the World Baseball Classic roster spot by Team USA. Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young believes he is already a good player and has the potential to be a great player. Despite not being named in the top 100 players in baseball's recent ESPN ranking, a consensus estimate gives him about a 2% chance to win.
