Nacogdoches autism resource center hosts annual Kite Fest fundraiser

The Helping House, a non-profit for children with autism in Nacogdoches, hosted its annual Kite Fest, featuring activities such as bounce houses, rock climbing, and a train ride. The event is supported by students like Ryder Maurer who was a student at the center before attending Central Heights High School. The Kite Festival has been running for nearly 16 years and aims to raise $50,000 for the charity. The Helpening House has helped over 300 students since its opening in 2008 and currently teaches 15 students.
