The first episode of "Marshals" has been compared to "Yellowstone" where Kayce Dutton planted a bomb on the Beck brothers' aircraft, but it never happened. The episode 1 of "Marathon" reminded viewers of the infamous bomb plot hole from "Yearth" season 2 episode. The storyline surrounding the episode 1 sees Dutton embarking on a mission to save his kidnapped son from the clutches of the villains, which is reminiscent of his previous episode's mission. This is not the first time the show has featured a kidnapping angle, but this time, it's connected to a conspiracy against the Broken Skull Reservation. Despite this, the similarities between the two shows can't be attributed entirely to Sheridan, as the series was created by Spencer Hudnut and other scribes, with Sheridan being less hands-on with this project.
