The March 3 Primary Election in Montgomery County, Texas, saw tens of thousands of voters cast their ballots in various races and propositions. The most watched races included for County Judge and Congressional District 2, with incumbent Mark Keough narrowly winning with 51% of the vote. The four-way race for Dan Crenshaw's congressional seat was won with 60.21% and Jessica Steinmann came in second with 68.24%. For the U.S. Senate race, Ken Paxton won with 54% over his competitors, forcing a runoff between Paxton and Cornyn. Governor Greg Abbott won nearly 80% of local votes and will now face Democrat Gina Hinojosa in the general election. All of the propositions on the GOP ballot passed with significant margins.
