Snapchat has launched its first awards show, The Snappys, which celebrated the top creators of the platform. The event was hosted by comedian Matt Friend and streamed live on Snapchat. The winners included influencers across entertainment, comedy, music, sports, and beauty, with DJ Khaled receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award. However, attendance was low, with Kylie Jenner, Ashley Graham, and Dwight McBroom all notable figures. The night's host, Kehlani, was unable to perform due to personal reasons. This is not the first time that Snapchat has hosted awards shows, with TikTok holding its first in December giving out 14 awards.
