Kent says FBI probe meant to ‘steal a narrative’ from true intentions of Iran war

Former director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCC), Joe Kent, has accused the FBI of using a leak investigation into him to cover up the Trump administration's intentions for entering war with Iran. Kent resigned from the NCC after criticising President Donald Trump for entering the war, which the U.S. entered unofficially after launching joint strikes on Tehran with Israel, killing Iran’s supreme leader. While the FBI's investigation was reportedly underway before Kent resigned, Kent denied allegations that he leaked classified documents to media outlets and personnel.
