Aventus police arrested 71-year-old man, Joseph David Cheeks, after leading them on a chase through Aberdeen. The officers were attempting to serve a warrant and when they found Cheeks in his vehicle, he refused to stop. He was charged with felony fleeance with a motor vehicle, felony assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, and numerous misdemeanour charges.
