Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has filed a civil complaint against Roddy's Rides LLC, a local used car dealership, for allegedly violating consumer protection laws. The complaint alleges that the dealership failed to file applications for a certificate of title within a set time frame after sales and did not have titles issued in the name of the dealership at the time of sale. Yost claims that $6,825 in claims have been paid from the Attorney General’s Title Defect Recision Fund for the full purchase of one motor vehicle. He is seeking a permanent injunction to prevent the defendants from engaging in business and to pay damages and other fees.
