Former MIT scientist and engineer, ED LARRY BERMAN, has spoken about the launch of Artemis II, a ten-day mission that will test the Orion spacecraft and begin exploration to Mars. The mission will be the first time in over 50 years that humans have traveled to the moon's orbit and will send the first Black man, first woman, and first Canadian on board. The astronauts will orbit Earth for a day, then slingshot 4,100 miles past the far side of the moon and around it before re-entering Earth's atmosphere and splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. Berman and his colleagues made up the MIT Instrumentation Lab and worked on the Apollo program for 10 years. The launch window begins at 6-24 p.M.
