A 36-year-old man has been charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm and violating probation. The victim was stabbed in the parking lot of La Quinta in Las Cruces, with a single stab wound to the lower back. Police found a large knife in the vehicle registered by the suspect. There was no prior altercation between the two men.
