The Economic Forum of Albuquerque, led by the mayor of Mayor Tim Keller, has developed a strategic plan to align the business community with him and his office on key issues that will move Albuquerque's economy forward. The plan includes creating an environment where all types of businesses can thrive and creating a more business-friendly environment that leads to better jobs, higher wages, and improved quality of life for all residents. The Economic Forum is championing a focused agenda aligned with Albuquerque, named the “Five to Thrive” which aims to implement five initiatives over the long-term. They believe that if successful in focusing on these five initiatives, real change and growth will occur. The initiative is supported by Emily K. Howard, the executive director of the Economic Forum, and William Martinez, director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at RS21.
