La Grange Lawyer Sentenced For Threats To Lawmakers, Gun Control Groups, LGBTQ Advocates

Samuel J. Cundari, a 32-year-old lawyer from La Grange, has been sentenced to three years of supervised release and one year of home confinement and electronic monitoring. He pleaded guilty to interstate communication with a threat to injure and was ordered to pay $7,674 to the city of Springfield. The threat was made against lawmakers, gun control groups, and an insurance company. Authorities discovered Cundar's identity through subpoenas to social media companies and he admitted to the threats. He used fake names and claimed he had no previous knowledge of pressure cooker explosives.
